My other half, commuting from Maidenhead to Whitechapel, will enjoy the agony of choice: Boarding a LizLine straight through means a guaranteed seat, with zero transfer complications, and hopefully a guaranteed journey time. GWR when running to schedule is faster, but often crowded (no seat again this morning). Changing at Paddington allows use of Pret subscription and mainline loos - attractions that cannot be underestimated. The return may favour Lizzie, as the evening GWR commuter chaos at Pad is a wonder of the universe. Will splitting LizLine services from Pad's surface platforms help? Hmm..
It appears that Bond Street will actually only be open for 5 days before closing again because TfL's engineering works calendar has Paddington to Abbey Wood down as closed on 29th October.
