I was in the "Park View Cafe" at Manor House a few weeks ago, before it became a cafe it was previously built as and used as a Public Toilet.
A glorious collection of tops today, and entertainingly presented as a climbing narrative. I doubt if any other daysworth is going to quite meet this standard, prospectwise. But we will see...
"lacklustre-looking Kent Hall Hotel" ...oh I don't know. It not all shiny and posh-pretending like many other a hotel in London that for sure. It does have free "Wi-Fi" & free parking though. Rooms are a bit on the small side but be mainly used for sleeping anyhow. Only thing I'd suggest is get oneself a fan if staying in spring or summer. Apart from that it probably much better value than those "motels" advertised on television (you know the ones). As a footnote (before anyone asks)...no I don't work there or have any link to/with the hotel.
the bus stop you feature may not be the most interesting, but if you walk back towards Jack Straw's Castle and turn right into the Heath, you might find Hill House Gardens and the very impressive Pergola, behind Inverforth House.
