please empty your brain below

Well, diversification can be a good thing. I personally find the slightly monotone AI voices get wearing after a short while, but younger generations seem not to be bothered so good luck!
Phenomenal. Now I can finally pay full attention to your content. Tik tok next please #dgeezer
I lasted 13 seconds, but hope that at some point Ryan was thrown beneath the wheels of the passing Routemaster. Oh the (lack of) humanity...
It'll never catch on.
It came back and my expectation was exceeded.
You're welcome! ;-)
If you continue your YouTube presence and start videoing on your trips remember to avoid music getting in as YouTube may cut it for copyright reasons.
Will be interesting to see how your audience grows which we can see on YouTube.
I hope you do not start on Ticktock
Thank you for your interesting YouTube post. It was both intriguing and heartwarming.

May I perhaps add that if you plan to make a habit of this I'd greatly appreciate if you'd also provide the text version on your blog to enhance my enormous pleasure in your words.

I hope you agree that not even ChatGPT could express this more tactfully!
And didn't we all think it was going to be one of those "famous" dead links!!??
I survived the regulation 2 min 17 sec (based on my vague memory of some not fully defined factoid regarding interest/attention spans).

On the positive side, I couldn't recall two of the bits of trivia I had seemingly read two days ago, worthwhile (really).

However, on the other hand I simply hate being constrained by listening to primarily a narrative (images of people on a bus not withstanding), albeit at between 1.75 and 2 speed, which in itself is irritating, in an attempt to match my reading speed.

I was impressed at Ryan's ability to annunciate in 'his' very reassuring manner, however, and unfortunately, 'he' was just too sickly sweet for me, coming across as a bit of a know it all IMHO, but that's AI for you.
I look forward to many of your video blogs - I myself use a GoPro a lot, and I can recommend holding it low down as it’s easier to carry even if it does capture my double chin a lot.

Don’t worry about quality - there are enough idiots out there who will watch anything.

Great video!
First!
I was surprised how much longer it takes to listen to someone reading the words than reading it myself, and if anything I think I took in the spoken words less (no chance to refer back or concentrate more). The 3 uses of the word "provided" in one sentence also grated when read out loud in a way they hadn't on the page. Think for me this confirms that reading still has its place.
I'm uncertain if this is a good development. Yes YouTube as a free home for relevant click through video from blog.

If seeking a wider (unmonetized) audience create a Reddit and post there.

At least it isn't substack or AI slop (apart from voicing, which isn't essential, some just put onscreen subtitles)
Brilliant!
But someone please tell Ryan it's Mall not Maul!
I note tibia in the text became leg in the voiceover.

dg writes: Ryan couldn’t pronounce tibia
My mind is going to start reading your blog in Ryan's voice. I prefer to read though .. lets my mind wander around imagining the areas to write about.
Pity the voiceover pronounces the Mall as maul.
I stopped listening almost immediately - it is a most horrid voice. Crafted text for me, thank you.
Herbof - Totally agree.
My apologies to all disappointed viewers.
Oh no!, I already get it in the ear for spending too much time on YouTube.
Taxi for Ryan...
I was hoping for greater engagement, but less than a quarter of today's blog readers watched even 30 seconds of the video.

It's clearly not worth all the extra effort.
Well. What did you expect? We are READERS. not Listeners.
It’s the people who don’t read the blog but will listen to it that you want to attract.
I hope the experiment continues.
Maybe post an AI voiced entry every day for a week before you consider it a failure
Hmm, thanks. (No thanks)
Phew, this time it's only a year since the last video. It's great to see that the average gap for this channel is reducing. Admittedly I'm only basing this on five videos, but maybe momentum is building. Or maybe not.
