USA coronavirus deaths- 110,000 and rising.
My local supermarket now has some food products that would normally be sold to the catering industry, so sacks of flour and 2.62kg tins of baked beans.
I noticed yesterday that all buses are now entering by the front doors, ahead of masks being required, and that fares apply again.
Of the 2 that pass my house, the double decker is allowing 20 passengers, the single decker, 10.

None of the 5 or so passengers I saw on one of the buses yesterday were wearing a face mask!
The 200,000 testing has changed to just be capacity to test. I work at one of the testing sites and there's plenty of capacity, especially at weekends.

One problem with the London sites is that you need to be in a car to be tested
I would have mentioned - Mass protests across US & UK = lockdown definitely breaking down early.
If I was Alok Sharma, I’d want a second or third test. Apparently false positives are rare, but there is a substantial rate of false negatives. Let’s hope he is feeling better anyway and hasn’t already passed it on to all and sundry.

Still thousands testing positive every day, and a few hundred dying. This seems to have become acceptable. Perhaps it is, but I’m still forlornly hoping we don’t have a second peak. Stay at home and save lives.
Be interesting to see what effect the BLM protests will have on the figures in a couple of weeks time, although most of the participants appeared young, they'll take any infection back to their families.

I tend to feel nowadays that after a few decades of outsourcing we no longer have officials with any experience of running or organising anything, the British state is an empty shell.
