The thing that these posts have brought home to me is how short a period of time ten years feels like now (now I'm in my fifties, that is) and the decades will no doubt keep shrinking the more of them I am here to enjoy.
A remarkably prescient set of predictions says I as I move around the house, mobile phone in hand...
Good foresight. We demand 2030 predictions!!
months fade into years, years into decades and before you know it half a century has passed.

our time and presence in the cosmic scheme of things is no more important than an individual leave falling off any given tree in one autumn.

time for a cuppa me thinks.

But will Leeds be in the Premier League in 2030? (By then it'll probably have Martian clubs in it)
^ by 2030 football (soccer) along with most other sports will be cancelled for their contributions to global warming/climate change. all sports persons will instead be enrolled into tree-planting and other environmental roles.
I have to say that I and my colleagues who retired 10 years ago seem (in general) to be much happier than those younger ones who have had to remain working (and paying our pensions!) especially as many are now working on B****T projects.

Thanks for reviewing your predictions from 2010; I look forward to seeing those for 2030!
If the 2010s were tough, I fear the worst is yet to come!

The one bright light is waking up to this blog each day! Here's to the next 10 years of Diamond Geezer!
Ah, the passage of time... A suitable point to thank you, DG, for the last 10 years of your blog which have kept me informed, entertained, and a bit more active than I would have been otherwise!
Yes, my thanks to DG as well, for the/his last ten years of hard work.

In that ten years I was only censored and deleted once. Thankfully, at least the consumer/shopping postings seem to have become less frequent, but there was a also time a couple of years ago when I thought DG was perhaps running out of ideas.

Regardless of all that, I still enjoy the anticipation of 'tuning in and turning on' and seeing what's up today.

Thanks DG for all the enjoyment you have given me.
Sorry, I'll whip the Creative Elves harder.
