So what was the less good clue for number 11? The badge for Humber cars???
Can someone tell me what’s in the mouth in 20?
Well, I got twelve, which is good going for me on a DG quiz. Of the ones I didn't get, SE Iceland and Hebrides made me exclaim out loud when I saw the answers.
13.

When I opened the comments box to enter one of them, I saw that quite a few had been guessed. Stupidly, instead of putting in one that I'd guessed myself, I entered South Utsire because I Dominic H's answer.

The one that puzzled me most was the original clue for Tyne. What had the teddy bear got to do with it (ty and the NE compass were enough on their own)?
Alan, I think that the item inside the mouth at 20 is a roll of wool which is often sold by Ply number.
I thought the original clues for 11 and 30 were pretty good.
Too late to take part, but I got all but one (without looking), and by elimination it followed that No 28 must be Shannon (whoever he is)
no.28 is Del Shannon who had a no.1 in 1961 with "Runaway" and was actually the first artist to have an American hit with a Lennon/McCartney song when he covered "From Me To You" which reached the Hot 100 before the Beatles.
Martin - Ty (beanie baby) and an compass needle pointing NE.
20) Alan and John. ...or a skein of yarn, which almost sounds like another shipping location.
