Standard public transport response now:
"Why don't they provide more Santas to cope with demand ?".
Don't forget the Ensignbus running day!
Nothing there appeals to me.

I guess you'll be going with the last option...
the first Saturday in December seems to be THE day for local Christmas fairs, for getting slightly unusual presents. In my area (E11/E18) there are several, and I have a stall at one, I had to book that weeks ago though.
I just looked and found that The Sky Garden has multiple slots available on all days 13th-16th December!
You could have linked the last line to http://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking.aspx .
What astonishes me is the prices for some of these events. £32 to be jostled by over-excited tourists around mediocre wax lookalikes?
The prices astonished me too, although as DG has often mentioned prices of tourist etc. attractions in past posts, I should be immune to silly figures by now. It would have to be something very special for me to part with the sort of money that's being charged here.

The last option is the one for me, costing around a fiver for a coffee and cake somewhere on the way :-)
Regarding capacity for The Mousetrap, I went last week and whilst the website appeared to show almost every seat booked up (approx. 80-90%) the theatre was actually quite empty. Perhaps only a quarter full.

Their website is definitely incorrect; perhaps intentionally.

I wonder if this is the same case for the other attractions in the post.
