I did actually see some workers at the RUN sign on Thursday morning.

I saw them raise an empty cherry picker next to one of the letters as I walked past on my regular walking route from Forest Gate to Victoria Park.
Could the kingfisherlessness be caused by unlockdown?
Surprised how unimpressive the NT blossom garden looks. Round the corner from here a couple of months ago the local council planted 70 cherry trees to celebrate the Platinum. They are already a maze of colour - must grab a photo before the blossom goes.
It's a shame when you make a connection with wildlife and it doesn't last as long as you expect.
I was kept company at the allotment through Nov/Dec by a robin with a distinctive feather so could easily recognise it, but this side of the new year I've not seen it at all - or any other in its former territory.
There are two TfL pink floral Blossom Garden roundels inside the subway near the Stratford City entrance.

On 19 March, I spotted two trees in full bloom, and 2-3 with mild signs of blossoming action. Not an insta-type of place indeed, perhaps thankfully, but nice enough to sit and contemplate.
Thanks for the information about the New London Model. I used to work down the road at several of the nearby colleges.

I often went in to look at the model and the displays. It was then known as the Building Centre. Lots of displays of window frames, building stuff of course, usually down in the basement. Also a coffee shop and various photo exhibitions. I found out about some developments planned for Chingford that way, plus the subsequent developments along the Lea. I have a vague memory of something about building a 'development corridor' all the way up to Stansted or Cambridge.

Next time I go over to Westfield to get bread I will go and find it. Thankyou. G
I suffer from tree pollen hay fever when the trees blossom-atishoo
It's more a case of dull administrativia from the Olympic Park, but the Lee Valley Park Authority have transferred management of their venues to Greenwich Leisure Limited. This means that the VeloPark, Tennis and Hockey Centre, and the White Water Centre, join the Copper Box and Aquatic Centre under the Better brand. And as anyone who's ever tried to the use the Better app to book anything will confirm, this is not necessarily Better.
