Has the car park at the Tithe Barn been resurfaced or does it still have dangerous potholes?
Obligatory reference to the Auto Shenanigans video that deals with just the Gallows Corner flyover. It doesn't look particularly healthy so probably time it was replaced.
What a shame that some funds were unable to reinstate the Tilbury/Gravesend Ferry
Glad I live nowhere near Gallows Corner! What misery for local residents!
Maintenance type roadworks have to happen. But if money is short nationally, building new stuff in the south east seems bonkers. Investment in the rest of the UK, ideally rail based, is needed so much more desperately.
I live near Gallows Corner. It is a misery - but mainly caused by numpties with no regard for following diversions or thinking they are outside of the traffic rules. Some of the aforementioned numpties are of the same breed that vandalise ULEZ cameras despite there being CCTV watching them do it.
You can check it out on bustimes.org. it did show new timetable.
I thought the were replacing it, in other words building a new one, 'renewing and replacing' makes it sound like they are upgrading and keeping the existing structure.
TfL's communication is persistently baffling; makes me wonder if anyone actually cares about the 375 if their communication regarding it is so inconsistent. And it's not the first time regarding buses that they can't be clear, when it's someone's job.
I live by Gallows Corner and apart from the numpties who don't understand Road Closed signs, my road hasn't been this quiet since Lockdown.

According to a Costain contractor I spoke to on Tuesday, all of the above ground structure is being replaced with new so it should look radically different.
While many of the causes are excellent, the process by which many infrastructure projects result in local handouts is a curious one.

For example I was walking along a canal in Wendover last year, a very nicely upgraded towpath, paid for by HS2.
Classic bribery to appease some of the nimbys. On a pragmatic level it’s not a bad plan. ISTR there’s a few million going for any community that offers to host a nuclear waste facility. And hopefully there’ll be enough from the pylon-building plans to actually allow electricity to be moved from where it can be created in renewable form to where it’s needed.
The Gallows Corner webpage has been changed and now says:
"From 2 August, route 375 will terminate at Chase Cross instead of Romford."

So, still 5 more weeks of normality.

TfL have informed me that they're "unpicking" their comms.
