I had no idea about this - just my sort of thing. I'll take a look very soon.

I was hoping you'd get to Haringey - my home for 7 years.

Mention the old Harringay dog track, the fantastic Chinese in Wood Green High Road, the best cake shop in London (Kossoff's, now sadly closed; two branches within 300 yards of each other at either end of the High Road - sale of one store, a change of ownership and a revamp busted them and it's now a kebab shop).

I used to make deliveries to Bruce Castle and would linger there looking at the exhibits - it really is a nice little museum.

There's also Ally Pally, and further west bits of Highgate also fall into Harringay, evening out its 'Britain's Poorest Borough' reputation.
Smashing stuff; will come again tomorrow!

I wondered if you would go to Bruce Castle. It is, surprisingly, quite interesting.
Did you see the old tram lines running in parts of Green Lanes?
I am intrigued to know what your somewhere pretty will be.....

I once spent a night in Broadwater Farm, I followed a man off the Victoria Line at Seven Sisters, he didn't object so we went back to his place which just happened to be the infamous Council Estate. Never really felt the need to go back.

If it's not too late, check out the somewhat more desireable end of Haringey - Highgate. Esp. the parkland walk and the area around Pond Square...

And don't forget Muswell Hill... famous for nothing in particular, really, now I come to think of it

I once had a McDonalds next to Bruce Grove ... and didnt Rowland Hill come from Hawkstone Park in Shropshire? Went there years ago, it had a cave for hermits, wonderful place.
