Open House London has been a victim of its own success. When it started almost 20 years ago most of the buildings were accessible without reservation and you got the booklet for free. Now its almost like the Olympics. Will there be a lottery for the most popular items soon?
Re the plane finder: for those interested in shipping, there's an equivalent at www.marinetraffic.com. It was interesting to note the cruise ships moored near Excel for Olympic staff accommodation!
Yippeeee! Great man. Those are the things we like.
Thanks to the ship finder, I've now found out which two cruise ships are parked down the road and if the car ferry is running on time.
Well with all this going on there is no excuse to ever be bored!

I was surprised to see the "Ladies who bus" on the BBC London news earlier in the week. I think on that report it said they were planning to cover the lettered routes as well but not the school buses.

I can certainly recommend the Saturday Walkers Club as well (and Sunday!). I've walked the first 29 walks from their first book but still have the rest of book 1, all of book 2 and the free walks to go. Enough to last a good few years I'm sure. I've contributed some of the photos in the latest edition of book 1 too.
Thanks for the fantastic 30s houses site. Brilliant.
Thanks DG for the link to the 150 great things about the Underground.
Excellent site, great photos and extremely well written.
I too would like to say thank you, for the heads up about the 1930's house site.
I also loved the 99 Tiny Games.
Thanks for the 150 great things link. Was looking for something to provide a distraction now I'm back at work!
