(please don't pick one and tut about it)
Constant pre-recorded announcements in trains; people eating hog smelly food in trains; the usurping of that useful luggage space in buses by that effing box for Metro; the bowdlerised Evening Standard; cyclists who don’t stop at red lights of zebra crossings…
People who park on the pavement because they're too lazy to park a bit further away and walk; drivers who don't know how signalling at roundabouts works; people who put their rucksack on the seat next to them on public transport, or stand with it on their back; cricket highlights on TV which have only about half-an-hour of cricket surrounded by unnecessary chat; yes, I know I'm getting near the end of the travelator, I can see that.

Actions/activities that needlessly require a mobile phone (e.g. building access badges, thanks GPE for that)
Lack of rear and even front car legroom, lack of space on train seats--I am only about 5 foot 8 and am not large in terms of weight, I can't fit in seats with other seats in front very comfortably.

People who use brand names instead of the name of the item, people who don't bother to read things properly, people who don't realise county boundaries have changed, I could go on and on.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday nonsense
and not scrolling to the end
Blimey, this sounds just like my wife (after I've turned my hearing aids back on)

Cross Country Trains: more overpriced (if you don't split tickets) overcrowding than you could imagine
Things only available from "streamers"; cricket and tennis every week of the year; repetitive announcements - everywhere; dark mornings and evenings; the arrogance of Jacob Rees Mogg; illuminated advertising; the vilification of Greta Thunberg; manipulation of exam grades; the vacuous Kardashians; governmental support for mass murder by the state of Israel; 'new' songs by long-dead artists; cinema films longer than 90 minutes; the proliferation of 'craft' beer; people that lurk but don't contribute to WhatsApp groups; lip service paid to combating the climate crisis; the ubiquity of tv programmes about houses or cookery; Fiona Bruce: irritating or alien; "can I get.."; the annual orange plastic hell of Halloween; the cost of dentistry; people that share content or opinions gleaned from GB News; the unfairness of NHS pay rates; the proposed withdrawal of the daily Travelcard; dust; gambling advertising; the struggle involved in changing duvet covers; Simon Armitage.

Search engines that dont even know the word "grumpytutters"

People on local FB groups who insist, against all evidence, that things were better 50 years ago.
The inability to have a conversation without using ‘like’ multiple times in every sentence.

People who don't like cats

The increasing tendency for things to be rented or subscribed rather than owned, the general assumption that we can't afford nice things like basic public services or childcare, the lack of intelligent mainstream documentaries (horizon 20 years ago teaching me about something complex Vs some 'influencer' giving me a Wikipedia lite explanation of a subject now), people who take too long to use ticket barriers, ATMs, or self service checkouts, the need to pre book absolutely everything since covid about twenty months in advance
Intrusive music in factual programmes on Radio 4, because they’re trying to sound like podcasts. “…and is also an available on BBC Sounds”. Encouragement by radio stations to use the smart speaker, where the instruction to “play radio x” is said in the speaker’s voice (which makes no sense). People who think they can refute generalised statements by saying “I don’t”.
“Please make sure you have all your possessions with you when you leave the train”. Most of mine are at home.
Arsenal fans
Did anybody mention Hollywood suitcases?
My routine is to make a cup o' tea in my oversized mug (could that be a grumpytut if served in a café?) and read the day's blog entry.

Today I had to be extremely careful when I took my mouthful of tea. Excellent stuff.

In fact. some (most!) of the very witty, astute observations I have seen/experienced myself recently.
People who try to drink a hot cup of coffee/tea on a packed tube train because they can't be bothered to get up 15 minutes earlier and have one at home.
‘Can I grab?’. Idiot celebrities presenting documentaries instead of people who know what they’re talking about. Inane music thudding behind everything but particularly sports programme trailers. HSBC radio.
Great list! But it's usually it's when it ought to be its in my experience, rather than the converse.
Women doing make-up on trains, especially their nails. Modern Church of England services. The over-use of first names by those allegedly in service roles. ‘Press One for…”. The 3 minute blah when you call TfL.

‘I don’t like much really, do I?’
Saying things give a "pop" of colour. Calling a garden a "yard". Both no doubt American.

Ah, yes - and anyway, bad bits, good bits, all are part of the same package.
Thanks! I've added 50 of your suggestions at the end of the list.

My chief editorial stance was 'would I have put this in the original post if I'd thought of it?'

I tried not to over-transport it.

Also, Google now recognises the word grumpytutters

Are you my mother-in-law?
People who don't know the difference between 'ground' and 'floor'. It's really quite easy.

Kids who vandalise hire bikes which I want to ride on the pavement.
Oversimplified logo changes (stupid Gmail logo), the BBC is too left-wing, the BBC is too right-wing, microtransactions, mob votes, students that use ChatGPT for homework, teachers that assign homework over break, teachers that assign a lot of homework or have a test in the few days before break claiming that they don't want to give students work over break but instead completely overloading students because nearly every teacher does this exact thing

(Can you add Grumpytutters to the DG side bar?)
Saying kids instead of children

People who get on the bus and then ask the bus driver "is this bus going to X" when they've just spent 10 minutes waiting at the bus stop and could have googled it or at least checked the bus stop signage.
"Z" suddenly being used in a word that has hitherto managed quite happily without one. Top of the list are "converZation", "DeZember" and "dezision". If an explanation were given as to why this necessary, that would be one thing, but I have yet to hear one.
