Does the Isle of Wight count as abroad? It can be faster if you change at Basingstoke.
This is spooky. First you go to Brussels, by train, just before we do. Then to you current destination ahead of us. But we booked our tickets long before we knew where you were going.
"ten hour train journey home" to London could be e.g. Barcelona, Nice, Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich.

If you've indeed been to Germany, how about writing a German version of your account?
Berlin! Awesome city - love it - hope you had a great time!
My money's on the South of France.

I assume odds are available at all good bookmakers (oh, on second thoughts).
DG, you gave the game away by tweeting the photo from the restaurant in Berlin. Hope you had a good time.😎
It really is amazing how far you can go in ten hours - so long as you're heading for the Continent. My guess is Berlin, on the basis that Hamburg is too (unfairly) underrated to be noticed by most travellers and Munich's beer scene, I suspect, may not be up DG's strasse. I did wonder about Bremen (for Becks of course) but it's even less obvious than Hamburg and the journey home would take only eight hours, even with one hour changes in Cologne and Brussels.

Either way, European train travel is great, so have a splendid trip back DG.
look forward to hearing how you got on in Berlin
Schöne Reise und viel Spaß.
Champions league final? Surely you knew Arsenal had no chance of making it!
Well the tweet from Berlin gave it away. One of my favourite cities and full of delights.
Top place. I'm sure you had a great time.

Well, you can get to quite a lot of Canada and the US in 10 hours,

It takes me less time to get to Paris or Amsterdam than it takes me to get to work :(
