A mid or (perhaps) late June opening is most likely. July would be further than first half of the year, and May seems too soon, given software patches.

Your belief in the promise of a June opening does you great credit! I presume there is no hint of irony in your assertions.

It will be a huge gamble to open it just before the Jubilee weekend I am thinking it will be after this has passed

Of course I could be very wrong, May or July are possible but of those two, I would rule out July--the PR wouldn't look as good.
With May, the issue could be with election timing--admittedly, this only rules out until the first week of May. Perhaps then later in May, that is obviously possible too. |

Given the track record so far, if I was to put a bet on I'd be going for another delay. September?

I saw someone else (who didn't pick the same date as I did) say (I paraphrase) "I pick this date as I'll be on holiday so Sod's law won't get to ride it on the first day," and realised I'd done the same in the date I picked. I'll be happy if I'm right in the date I picked for being right, but disappointed if it is that date as I'll not get to ride it for over a week!

Well my fairly arbitrary pick was ALMOST right. If only I'd been just a little bit more arbitrary and chosen the Tuesday instead of the Monday. Oh well, I don't really care about it. I'm just surprised I got as close as I did.
