So will it be.

(I'm Trying to work out if you are being too ironic by half with the clichéd attack on Hackney though. The scary stabby place that no one wants to live in? Perhaps true of Hackney in 1996! The main scary thing about Hackney these days is the house prices).
lol @ Sutton :)

Sadly, that seems to be fairly watchable compared to a lot of the... I was going to say digital-only channels, but they all are now aren't they?
Classic! The Visual Boris meets the Evening Boris indeed. Although (one minor blessing) I have a feeling that "Metro" isn't tied up with the ES anymore...?

At least it is clear which borough you continue to regard as the most boring...
I only watch television for the 6pm and 6.30pm London News, or old movies. (Cannot really call them films now as most are no longer on film.) So I welcome a dedicated local London news channel.
Maybe they will take a feed for news items from dg's blog.
? ???????? ??????? ????????? ??????? ? ?????? ??????, ? ?? ?? ??????? ????. ??????? DG.
Wonderful.
Oh dear, your comment system doesn't accept Cyrillic text. I wrote in appreciation of the Russian, which I'd been hoping to see in the piece from the moment I saw what it was about. Well done DG.
Ha ha, excellent. Sutton, live from Italy, and talented advisers. TV from the people who publish the Substandard? Ha ha, blimey, who were the other bidders?
I quite like the 9am slot - who'd complain if it overran?
Love it!!
I burst out laughing!

There was some kind of consultation about the proposed new station. This dropped into my inbox at the beginning of January:
'To help the team over at LondonTV build a picture of what makes you proud about the place where you live, and the issues you'd like to see on local TV, we've put together a short survey.'
The final question was whether I would like to see such a station. Expecting that it would be filled with the sort of drivel that DG describes so vividly, I said No thanks.
I loved the hatchet-job the BBC London local TV news did last night on the prospects for this new station - highlighting all the problems other commercial companies have had.
Assume it'll be like the Evening Standard and our GLA - no news and no interest south of Lambeth, east of Newham (only 'cause of the Olympics), north of Camden (except Tottenham) and West of Kensington.
Nice one!
Hopefully the technology will be a bit better than the Evening Standard website, which I keep having to refresh to make sure it loads properly.
Love it. Sadly this schedule is far too high quality to be close to the reality.
Glorious! "Art Attack" is my favourite.
Just unsubscribed. Gawd almighty.
"Art Attack" made me laugh quite a bit :)
Waterhouse: Hmm. That's odd. It *should* accept anything you throw at it. But even in the database it's converted it to ??? ????? ????.
I got stopped in the street last week, outside the ES building in High Street Ken, to do a vox pop interview on camera.

Expect plenty more of those during the day time schedule.
"What do you think? We ask Londoners on the street their opinions on the key issues of the day"
No 'Celebrity Boxing' from the East End on the schedule !
I was impressed to find that Google Translate could handle Chelsea in Russian.
There is a genuine scheduling proposal on page 25 of the ES's bid document.

I wasn't making it all up.
You just need to top off your brilliant predictions with some colourful pie charts!
Very funny, DG and most of it is very close to the truth. Keep up the good work
Why are you having a go at Sutton again? It's a very pleasant place to live, usually. Latest news from there, an elderly woman starved to death recently when her care Agency was raided by Customs, and no one called round for nine days. Dreadful.
