Thank you DG for this timely reminder of the current state of Olympic Park connections.

Fascinating reportage, as ever.

We are most fortunate that you are still 'on the spot', as it were, to bring these comprehensive despatches to us.
How odd. I did not make the above comment, though it is quite like what I would have said, though I might have spelled it "dispatches" (either is correct, though).

Well, I hold no monopoly on the name "Malcolm". Greetings to the other one!
Thanks DG. What's the best way to get from one part of the Greenway (near the View Tube) to the other (near the high street) these days then? Is it still this - https://goo.gl/maps/FqPjwDxWCK62 ?

I can't believe this post has so few comments. It was thanks to your series of posts 10 years ago that I made the effort to visit the area before the gates went up, and it's been fascinating seeing the area change - especially since I now live in the area and it's very much my neck of the woods.

Thanks for chatting it for posterity, DG!
My wife went to last Sundays athletics via Pudding Mill Lane, seems various closures meant a long diversion. I'm off to the Velodrome this Saturday (under advertised club meeting for anyone interested in watching some free cycling entertainment) and will see what's happening in the park, perhaps even visiting some of the nearby breweries (if I save up). Thanks for the update DG.
Super stuff. I think it was the kick-off to 2012 and what was happening in Stratford that got me into DG's blog. (Time flies.) Amazing now that 2 weeks of sport in 2012 continue to have an effect on the location now.
Big fan of all your Olympo-posts; keep 'em coming.
Do you know why the stadium was renamed the London Stadium? Most other former hosts seem to keep calling theirs the Olympic Stadium (Sydney & Beijing the most recent exceptions).

Thanks also for these posts - as a regular walker and runner around the park it is immensly frustrating to see how much remains closed off
