Maybe they've kept the old ones just in case?

i'm trying to work out where the best place is to be to see lots of confused/unhappy passengers on monday.

will it be the H&C paddington where people were expecting to go down to ears court and found themselves going the wrong way, or will it be the original circle paddington with people expecting to go towards hammersmith?

Almost entirely unrelated, but have you noticed that at the same time LUL are turning off escalators at non-peak times to save energy and reduce heat loading, they are filling the walls with illuminated adverts and flat-screens?

geofftech:
Or maybe on a westbound Circle line train just after leaving Edgware Road (and Paddington) going to Hammersmith.

Audrey: The digital advertising along the escalators is actually more environmentally friendly than printing on paper and shipping them with lorries every couple of weeks.

Anybody else think that pink and yellow lines look decidedly awful when put together? Without the mediating Metropolitan umber the two colours blur into a sort of sickly orange.

sweek: I also read that press release from the digital advertising people claiming that paper posters are more environmentally wasteful than leaving a lightbox switched on all day. I didn't believe a word of it.

sweek: Even if the figures in the press release were true, they still have "non-digital" printed posters stuck onto lightboxes all over the place. And still the tube is overheating... I'd take anything the moving advert people say with a pinch of salt large enough to grit the north circular.
