I went on the search of non-US digging. Not a very lot.

Me too!.

I've never even looked at Digg... Does that mean I need to hand in my geek card at the door on my way out?

Yes Lyle, it does. It's worth a look. Once. Like /.

Of course you could always use AddThis to REALLY max out on uber-web2.0 button goodness.

I dig digg! To me it's a netvibes module that spews the occasional distraction. Also, the wordpress template makes it easy to add to the bottom of every posting, so I guess the fact that it was easy made it happen. But more truthfully, the real reason for having digg this (and others) at the bottom of every posting is not about the traffic (because none of us really wants to get dugg), it's about wanting to show that we're "with it" DG.

I prefer the {I} flag.

I am so awfully sorry for digging your post DG.

It was of course done in a totally ironic way.

Someone had to do it though

god, those boxes annoy me. no idea why - i just find them unnecessary and attention-seeking. ooops, that's what bloggers are - attention-seeking. so we don't need the boxes after each and every post then, do we ?

An offline friend of mine got as far as Page 2 of Digg last year, and was getting thousands of page views an hour for a short while. Unfortunately, the blog post in question wasn't one of his well written and astutely observed pieces, but a copy/paste of some e-mail "funnies". Which tells you all you need to know about LCD pimpsystems...

I have no interest in Digg whatsoever.

I got dugg once majorly, and it still does bring me traffic to this day. I also use a handy little wordpress plugin that any visitors who arrive from Digg get a different page which is full of Adsense advertisments.

Only then is it beneficial.

Amen and other words of enthusiastic agreement.

What Zoe said. And er, what Zoe said.

I actually went on a conference about Digg last week - how sad is that! "Web 2.0, what it is and how to interact", it's amazing what you can get paid to spout.

It did introduce me to pageflakes however, which is now how I access this brilliant blog... and Facebook, which is soooo addictive

Two Diggs.
14 visitors.
Woo.

And don't get me started on NowPublic, the scourge of my Flickr inbox...

LOL and w00t. Innit.

Actually DG, I have tried to email one of your posts to a friend (*blushes*).

However I couldn't find a direct link for your individual posts... the cut and paste doesn't have the same effect.
