it will be even more atmospheric today in the fog
Courtesy of RMT I got a routemaster (RML) on Route 91 last night. The conductor was having a great time letting people travel for free as he had no oyster reading equipment. I must admit I smiled all the way to Euston!

@Peewit, lucky you! I seasoned yesterday morning on the Cally Road, followed by two Boris buses, while I was stuck way behind on a normal bus :-/
My shorter, but posher, RMT walks from Victoria to Euston flood back to me as I watch from the north, where my commute to work is now a twenty minute walk rather than two hours of train and tube.
Excellent!

Am just approaching Paddington on main line train. The question beckons, and an answer will soon be imminent, and perhaps even imminant: RMT walk or Bakerloo line? We'll see, but it is, at least, a lovely morning.
This actually sounds like a nice walk.
I only discovered route 205 a couple of weeks ago from Baker Street to Bow Church, I had quite an enjoyable bus ride.
But will you be doing it again today. And next week!
Maybe that's the answer. Find a job within walking/cycling distance of where one lives. Or find somewhere to live within walking/cycling distance of your job. Any city where this is not possible for the majority of people may in theory be a city not fit for purpose.
I love the way at first you're almost parodying your own travelogues, using the same style of title and introduction, yet going on to provide an interesting new account of a walk you wouldn't normally do. This is DG on top form!
"several less stereotypical folk"...who are these people and what do they look like I wonder? Will there one day be stereotypical less-stereotypical folk"...
The krays didn't just drink in that pub.they actually owned it (carpenters arms)
