I wonder if you were on my train, the 06:36 from Euston.
Do the clocks on platform 3 in your Bolton Street station show different times for a reason?
A coincidence - I was up in Bury Market from Essex on Saturday before I headed off to Rochdale to lead my heritage tour! You could have come and joined us!
The Tornado was at Bury the other month, and the Flying Scotsman returns in September.
Market halls were the one of the reasons I first fell for 'the north'.
Well you certainly had a busy Saturday and got good value from your train ticket!
I think DG is a little outdated regarding incentives for Coach Drivers. A £ 5 Meal Voucher ( buying perhaps two cups of tea ) would barely encourage any coach driver to get out of his seat in 2018.

I bet a cup of tea isn't £2.50 in Bury anyway. Probably get a pie and chips and a cup of tea for a fiver.
Perhaps the lower clock is indicating that the next train from Platform 3 is the 16:05 to Heywood
David re the clocks. I think you maybe correct as looking carefully the distant clock is not suspended from the ceiling but is lower down and could be adjusted by hand, there is a white notice below it so maybe it indicates the time of the next train.
Thanks for the answer.
