23. I suppose it isn't possible in the resolutely analogue world of London's bus blinds, but I'm surprised buses outside London don't display "bus full" automatically. The bus companies have the data, and some even display it in an app, so I'm surprised they can't put it on their blinds and be done with the paper cards.

30. I wonder if you'll make a permanent shift towards walking in the future, even once public transport is open again.
19 - finally got rid of all of my old £20 notes, only for my brother to give me another one, I have only used the 'normal' checkout twice since the lock down started.

29 - Baxters Tomato & Basil soup went missing from the shelves recently, when it returned the thick full bodied liquid that the tins used to contain had been replaced with a red watery substance, although my taste buds didn't mind.
13. I never fail to be amazed at the number of "New Road Layout Ahead" signs, which never seem to be taken down even years after the related road planners' whim was implemented.
4 - recently near me I saw the box of one of those green illuminated emergency exit signs discarded on the pavement. Which seemed especially odd.

24 - that demolition company got it wrong. The BHS was on The Broadway in West Ealing, not BHS in Ealing Broadway.
9 - Bow Locks. Always a chuckle!
13. That font is making me angry.
24. Clicked through to read all about Barry and his family story. A proper slice of social history right there.

27. Beyonce was amazing. I would never have watched her Glastonbury set under normal circumstances but am glad I did.

28. That takes me back to life in Croxley 30-odd years ago and parties in Whippendell Woods. Plus ca change and all that.
3: That reminds me of your Bow Road station restoration series. Gripping stuff, that.
27: I don't understand why "to Glastonbury" gets two mentions.
27 - One for the village, one for the festival.
27) Glastonbury is a town not a village! The Tor is worth a climb during non festival weeks.
13. There's still a sign referencing the A102(M) on the A2 just before the M25 which was certainly erected after the road designation was changed
5: Did you ever get a COVID test?
24. Discovery Park in Sandwich certainly hasn't been "leveled". It is possible that one or more of the many buildings there has been demolished by the said company. If I was in the market for a demolition company, I would prefer one that can keep accurate records of its achievements. "Oh sorry, I thought you meant THAT one".
2. One reason why I've stuck with my ever increasingly expensive ISP is because my main email address uses their domain and I can't face the hassle of changing it with countless companies / sites. Note to self - in a future existence pick a portable email.
29. I cannot understand why there are sell-by / use-by / best-before dates on fruit and veg.
5 You've had the virus without other symptoms!

27 Glastonbury is not at Glastonbury.
6. Gladstone Park, Brent, last Sunday morning; about 20 grown men, fully equipped with their own portable goal nets and high visibility tabards having a game of non socially distanced football; half playing, the other half sitting in a group on the sidelines.

Thanks lads, for contributing to the possibility of a local lockdown in one of the Coronavirus hotspots in the country.
4. Discarded mostly-full cans of lager, cider etc particularly baffle me. Presumably the purchaser has tried that brand before so it's not a case of not liking the taste.
Empty tins of the hideously-named Nurishment seem for some reason to be a very high proportion of the litter I see.
4. So much rubbish everywhere. I can't work out if it's because people are becoming more lazy about cleaning up after themselves or if it's because the council clean-up teams aren't out as often/anymore. Or a combination of both.
5. With those timings, sounds like it might just be worth your while to get tested.

7. Have ordered some for myself as sadly the ones my friend made for me are too tight : ( I previously did a sewing course in Bow, just round the corner from the Nunnery, but if this place restarts its sewing courses I would definitely consider going. Thanks for flagging it up.
21. I dreamed the other night about bumping in to other blogger Geofftech. He was broadcasting something about a rail station over the speakers at said station and I then saw him on one of the platforms. I approached him to say hello and he backed away as I’d forgotten about social distancing. I would have claimed to be other blogger BusAndTrainUser as in my dream I thought I was that for some reason. Sorry Geoff. Sorry Roger.
21. I'd expect a Venn diagram moment of DG, Ian and Geoff (and one or two certain others) on the opening of the purple tunnel. With any luck for DG, face coverings might still be required and thus help to maintain anonymity. Look out for a designer mask in the others' photos instead.
5. That was one of the Covid symptoms that should have resulted in self-isolation for a fortnight, surely? Sure, it wasn't a complete loss of taste, but possibly enough to warrant taking care.

dg writes: Never risk a surely.
5: I bought some jammie wagon wheels for the first time in a decade the other month. Absolutely tasteless. I had similar worries to you.
27. I would love to read your Glastonbury Festival blog one year
19) I found out this morning that Tesco in Woolwich have a self-service till which won't accept 'new' 20 pound notes. The bloke explained it is because the notes are new.

23) I asked a 380 driver about the 'bus full' sign. He sighed and said, "I keep forgetting the bloody thing. Hop on."
13. Scott - not just the font, but the chevron dimensions, corner radii, lack of coloured background panel around A102 M, and lack of brackets around the M. Otherwise fine!!!!

13. Tim W - I believe it is now a legal requirement to remove 'New Road Layout Ahead' signs after 3 months under the most recent version of the The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.
8. You lost pressure, right?
It happened to me almost daily in a previous (rented) flat, and now it happens regularly in our current house as well. Boilers just tend to do this.
15 Never heard of Flying Tiger!

24 Only part of Discovery Park was demolished. Unused Pfizer buildings mainly. Pfizer are still there.
1. Maybe your supermarket has a scan as you go app for your phone. When done, pay via app and avoid checkout queues. Sainsbury's has one.
Days which have not inspired comment:
10 11 12 14 16 17 18 20 22 25 26

(but the majority have, cheers!)

23. In the 50s and 60s quite a lot of RT buses would sail past us, obviously full, with the conductor on the platform making hand-signals to us. SO the good times are back :-)
29..presumably the potatoes had a best before date rather than sell by or use by (but shops do vary on this)

Unless they had been pre-prepared in some way (peeled, cut and dressed with butter or oil etc) in which case a use by (Aldi/Lidl sometimes a bit lax on this for borderline cases like cut fruit/veg with no "dressings")

Only use by has any legal or health implications, the others are merely advisory
23. What's with the new "no standing" rule?

Instead of being tucked socially distanced out of the way by the wheelchair pad the other day, I was forced to sit right beside another passenger as all the seats had one occupant already, and my wheelie bag was now blocking the path for everyone as it was too big to tuck in!
25: You could have put it in the fridge.
