So the the Tories leadership election will produce either: -

A - the third (Conservative) female PM
B - the first (Conservative) PoC PM

Meanwhile Labour talk about diversity.

Sadly Kemi will be out next.
Meanwhile, more than half of Labour MPs elected in 2019 were women (104/202) when the Conservatives had less than a quarter (87/365). And of the MPs elected in 2019, Labour had 41 from an ethnic minority background, and the Conservatives - with approaching twice as many MPs - had 22. Yes, clearly the Conservatives are doing much better on diversity.
What's PoC? I know that PoS = Point of Sale!

Possibly BME would give a more familiar label to what may have been meant.
I am reminded:
- I did not vote for Gordon Brown;
- The country did not vote for Gordon Brown;
- Even the Labour Party did not vote for Gordon Brown.
Yes, Liz Truss, the infamous socialist.
I don’t know what PoC or BME are either. Apologies for being so old.
PoC:
wikipedia suggests Person of colour, Proof of concept or Point of contact.
The first seems most likely in this context.
Becoming PM is the ultimate goal for ambitious politicians. Leaving office is a gateway to the acquisition of great wealth - book deals, speaking appointments, honorary directorships, etc.
Sunak realises that in the current uncertain political climate this is probably his last chance for Rishi Rich to become Rishi Richer (as if he needs it!). So the back stabbing little weasel seizes the opportunity on the impending departure of Boris. And he talks of his great integrity.....unforgivable humbug!!

PS - Although I am a traditional Conservative voter, I am not a Rishi fan. I can't see there being a Tory majority at the next general election.
It is noticeable how respectful the candidates are to each other.
Can't wait to see what weird and wonderful coalition we end up with.
