In response to the complainers yesterday:

This is DG's blog, he writes it in his own time and at his own expense, so he's entitled to write about whatever he wants. If you don't like it, I believe other blogs are available.

The price for that first package is a bit steep considering that for the same price you could probably get two weeks for a family of four at Disney World.

From TCs FAQ:

If I am unable to attend can I give my tickets to someone else?

No you cannot re-sell any of the arrangements you purchase in a Games Break or Games Break Plus.

Nice.

@alan. For my part, I specifically said that it was DG's blog and he can write what he likes. I just said I was experiencing withdrawal symptoms for his (to me) more interesting posts on transport, London, old buildings etc. And I don't think that many other sites do those as interestingly as he does...

Thanks for this, I learn so much from visiting your blog.

This comment for the two people that complained yesterday about yet-another-Olympic-post : No one forces you to read DG's blog. DG who had selfishly and tirelessly written a daily post for ooh.. so many years now I've lost track. When you put that much effort into something, your whine might be taken seriously....

..get some sleep, have breakfast, check out, ride the tube back to the Olympic Park and get through security<-i>

Don't forget you can't take your suitcases into the Olympic venues. So you'll probably have to leave them at the hotel and trek back again afterwards. Oh joy!

Too many Olympics posts? Rubbish, keep them coming. In fact, how about a book?

I suggest Thomas Cook provide a one-way holiday for the moaners to a budget hotel near Heathrow.

Re Martin's quote above from the FAQs, the question says can I *give* my tickets to someone else and the answer says no you cannot *re-sell*. I am none the wiser.
