I've been to the jester festival. It's nothing special - just a local fĂȘte like any other, but plenty of fun if you like that kind of thing.
The maps exhibition is a bit disappointing. The art is difficult to interpret, even with the artists there to explain it. I often find a correlation: the more wanky the artspeak in the blurb, the less memorable the art. |
We went to the maps exhibition at Rivington Place on Saturday, only to find half of it closed for a private event. Grr. Still, we did see a more conventional maps exhibition at the British Library, a very good photography exhibition at the Photographers Gallery, and an art and photography graduation show at the Truman Brewery instead.
