Well could you please add a link to your older report?

Only being pedantic because it might be useful for people but Portsmouth is also covered by SWT's £26 return so it should be the same price as Bournemouth.

Southend is probably cheaper for most East Londoners by the time you get to Victoria or Blackfriars to get the Brighton train.
I went to Leigh on Sea on Sunday and the fare is 70p cheaper than to Southend. Really interesting and atmospheric place so with air conditioned trains and cheap fares it's a great afternoon out.
Weston-super-Mare is £36.60 but only if you travel via Salisbury, which at almost 4 hours somewhat defeats the object of a day return.
Funny how the only destinations where theres real competition have the lowest fares!
Competition from London to Brighton?? I hope that was sarcastic.
After all, there are so many choices Thameslink (A brand name of GTR) Gatwick Express (A brand name of GTR) Southern (A brand name of GTR) |
Travel to Eastbourne, Bognor etc via Brighton: e.g. Brighton to Eastbourne is £10.90, so that's a total of £22.70, and the time penalty is about 20min each way (assuming a tight connection at Brighton).
