I had not heard of this walk so thank you it will now become another one added to my list of walks to do, I was also recently told about another walk called "The London Spiral" which looks very interesting, I had better get my walking boots out soon.
Thanks DG. I'm coming to the end of the Capital Ring so am looking for something to do next.
Sadly, it doesn't sound like it will be this!

I, too, saw the Spiral - it looks like a combination of both the Loop and the Capital Ring! The only bit (and I didn't look in too great a detail) was the slog to Gravesend at the end!
I love views like this across the landscape of London. This part of the walk looks like something I’ll be doing in warmer weather.
Agreed! Lived in Rayleas close SE18 in the early nineties and watched 1 canada square rising from the docklands floor. from same location also very clearly heard the explosion from the south quay bomb in 96. was in my back garden at the time
Have you tried any of The London Green Belt Way? 237 miles. I completed it last year. There is so much information available for each section. Transport is a little tricky, we altered the sections to suit transport accessability, but we coped. It starts and finishes at Hampton Court. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole route. We cheated a bit when it came to crossing the Thames, so ended one walk at Chafford Hundred, and started the next one by the QE2 Bridge, South Side. The website has all the info. We made each chunk between 14 -18 miles, but you can make each section shorter. Sections are really determined by transport as mentioned.
I love that it goes along my local 'high street' - Crouch End Broadway - nice!
It goes right past my back garden!
