a worthy winner indeed
I'd say if you haven't done either, the Thames Path is an obvious winner. It's only after you've spent decades walking along various parts of the Thames (as Londoners are wont to do) that the diversity of the Loop makes it more desirable.
I stopped doing Twitter some time back.

But I would have voted for Capital Ring, as overall winner - more bang for your pedestrian buck compared to the London Loop, and much more varied than the Thames Path (which also suffers a lot of unavoidable deviation from the river).
You're lucky the vote was greater than 50% for the final winner ... a 40,30,30 split would have meant an inconclusive result due to having put up two orbital options and split the vote for those who prefer a circular excursion.
I was one of the LOOP fans in your Twitter poll. As a walk it's to me more interesting and indeed "surprising" than the Thames Path, which while an enjoyable walk lacks the variety of the LOOP or Capital Ring.

The Thames Path is great for a casual walk though, especially in winter. Parts of the LOOP are VERY muddy at the moment.
Having completed the Loop, Ring and Path over the last decade (in that order) I think the winner for me is the Ring, being more easily accessible from anywhere in London.
Currently I'm doing a walk that takes in sections of each while also visiting every borough, so hopefully it will be a fine mixture of them all!
"London Loop beats it by a country mile"

presumably literally several times over as well as figuratively
As they meet up, The true walking experience is to combine the Thames Path (London sections) with the Loop to do a massive orbit that also goes through the middle. A giant figure of eight or something.

Now that I don't live in London, I can say such ridiculous things and not feel compelled to do them.
If you did a Paris version of this, you could call it Marche Madness
Andrew Bowden - if you do both the London Loop and the Thames Path but go a bit further on either side of the loop, you could create a kind of wonky TFL roundel.
