The Turner Prize, on the other hand, is bloody awful this year. And I'm not saying that as someone who says that every year - I normally find at least one artist I love (and often one who I detest). This year's is just dull and derivative. I couldn't even muster up any decent loathing.
Did you get to see Martin Creed's work no. 850 while you were there? It consisted of someone sprinting the full length of the main hall every thirty seconds, and was one of the most fun things I've seen in ages, mainly for the shocked reactions of visitors as they were nearly knocked out of the way (and presumably weren't expecting to see a sprinter in an art gallery). Unfortunately it finished on sunday.
