Whats the eight banned things shown in the Willow Tree Open Space picture?, I can't see a list on their website.
One is no dogs.
Banned thing number four looks like a dog, but the Hillingdon parks website says dog walking is welcomed.
I think what's banned is what dogs tend to leave behind them.
Hillingdon's website also says Willow Tree has an "extensive footpath path network". When is a footpath not a path ?

The list of banned things is significant because the first criteria of its green flag award specifies it should be a welcoming place.
There's another photo here.

You can enlarge it, they are/my best guess, for the eight bans are: -
No picnics
Dunno - looks like a flag on a stick, no organised sports?
No cyclings/motorbikes
No dog fouling
No spray cans
No fires
No running, looks like they're carrying something - no kites?
No fireworks?
All those football pitches would be a bit boring if no running is allowed. What is wrong with a nice picnic ?
I think the first one is "no alcohol", and the last "no fishing"
The first attraction listed on the website is "Access to canal for course fishing".
So the council don't know how to spell "coarse fishing".

The "no fishing" notice presumably applies to the ponds within the open space, but not the canal which forms the boundary (and is not council property).
I visited a Country Park elsewhere at the weekend. The board headed "Welcome to Ferry Meadows Country Park" was basically a set of pictograms of the hazards in the area and things I wasn't allowed to do. I didn't feel very welcome. Hillingdon have actually improved their open space boards in recent years, as they used to be just the name of the park and the full legal text of all the bylaws.
Listing these prohibitions at the park entrance implies they are acceptable elsewhere in the borough.
