Bexley was part of my professional "patch" for a dozen years from 1987, which meant I got to know the borough in detail.Your posts are perfect: as well as reviving memories, they're capturing the essence of the place for anyone who might never have been there.I'm looking forward to more. Maybe you've picked up on the drama scene - the borough has three amateur rep groups, each with its own fully functioning theatre.

crayford used to have a much larger stadium, holding speedway and banger racing, as well as the dogs...then 20 years(?) ago the owners sold much of the site off to Sainsbury's and built the current smaller stadium...the supermarket was always large, now it is massive!
