There are more Ramblers groups in Outer London - the RA's area structure lumps us in with the neighbouring counties. I'm Membership Secretary and a walk leader with North West London Group (covering Harrow and Brent), which comes under Buckinghamshire & West Middlesex area.
re Tube Traffic Totaliser:

Many thanks, DG, for the link to this fascinating data source. Some preliminary (by no means exhaustive) dipping in shows that my local station, Clapham South, appears to have the highest inflow of passengers in the morning peak (874 from 0800-0815) of any station which isn't a significant national rail or bus hub - i.e. almost all those passengers will be walking to the station. For three months now there's been no down escalator - not surprising it's so congested, with one person arriving every second in the morning peak. Can anyone find a busier non-interchange station than Clapham South?
