A section of HMS Warrior hull is mounted on the side of the staircase down to Jubilee line at Canning Town station. The ship is displayed for visitors alongside Portsmouth Harbour.
The ninth HMS Albion was only decommissioned in March last year, having spent several years as Flag Ship of the Royal Navy.

I'm interested to learn that the SS Robin is now at Trinity Buoy Wharf. In 2013, while between careers, I did some voluntary work for the SS Robin Trust, at which time the ship was based in the Royal Victoria Dock.

While it's nice that this sort of post industrial scruffiness still exists, it is a bit ridiculous that it's still undeveloped, 40 years on from the first sections of the DLR opening.

Fascinating stuff.
Is it all going to be apartments? Some Port London documents say part of that area (which they refer to as Peruvian Wharf) is safeguarded as a freight wharf. Used recently to bring in bulk aggregates for concrete plant.
I'm all for taking trucks off the road but that would mean we won't get a riverside walkway through that bit.

Drumsheds is in Meridian Water rather than Enfield (ok, it is in the Borough of Enfield) and it's still open.

My OH and I were supposed to get married in his Arts Hotel but Covid-19 got in the way. We did enjoy a couple of excellent tasting sessions there with the in-house Japanese restaurant.
Ben: I think DG is referring to the previous Drumsheds site in the old BOC warehouses closer to the river. Same stewardship at the IKEA site, though, AFAIK.
