Not a natural disaster, but nearly a mile away from the IRA Staples Corner bomb, my house shook in a really scary way...
What about flooding? I've experienced it a few times.
From my total of 4, only 1 was from the UK. The rest were from foreign holidays.

It has reinforced my impression of the UK as a mild and hospitable place.

Also, no bears, crocodiles, deadly spiders or wild boar roaming free.
Also not natural, but the 6am Buncefield blast woke me up.
None! But that is because you didn't include bushfires, the worst natural disaster in many countries.
I suspect many Japanese have a 5 or even 6: 2 each for earthquake and typhoon (both frequent offenders there), and then 1 for avalanche, landslide or tsunami.
Yep, having lived in Japan for a long time means I get 2 each for earthquakes and typhoons and 1 for volcanic activity. It's a pity they can't be scored multiple times or I'd have well over a hundred points.
I have experienced all of the above.
The most scariest ones being the Christchurch NZ earthquakes. The luckiest escape was White Island Volacano which threw rocks the size of cars and the most memorable was the Tsumani of 1960 that took away the main bridge ton our house.I was 5 at the time.
The old saying "Never had an accident in my life but have seen plenty"
I was in California in June 1991 when an Earthquake struck at about 7:40 in the morning - I was woken by my Uncle shouting about it and all the car alarms going off. It registered something like 5.6 (it had been initially reported on the news as a bit larger) but it did have a death toll, and is something like the 9tg largest to have hit California by death toll, according to Wikipedia.
