So many references to Norwood but none to Norwood locks. I expect you will inform me that the locks aren't actually in Norwood.

I love Osterley Lane, and the public right-of-way through that wheat field (though I have never been at a time of year when the wheat is so high). I often cycle out to Osterley House to ride its quiet bridle paths and onto Osterley Lane.

I remember using Norwood Green, as a place to aim for, as my "avoid the rat run" Uxbridge Road to get to Ealing Hospital from the South. Get off the A4 at Gilette corner and go up a narrow country lane over a tiny bridge with the canal below. This is England I used to think. I've eaten at that pub and, for a Fuller's, it was a good meal. Thanks for going there, you've stirred my little grey cells.

An area I know well thanks to living in Heston for a while and using the 120 bus regularly.

My lovely old moggy Toby came from that RSPCA cattery.

Did some of my first snogging and fumbling in a car down Osterley Lane some 50 odd years ago.

Clive, I'm not sure it's still snogging and fumbling, but there always seem be parked-yet-occupied cars in Osterley Lane, with an air of mysterious goings-on inside.
