Hmmm, doubt if it could be Crawley, if it's a place with anything 'oldish' to do with it.

I went there a while back (for the pure and simple reason I had no recollection that I'd ever been there before, and I thought I should), and I was astonished how post-1960 most of it looked. A post '60s shopping precinct (still being added to) and post '60s housing estates.

I did see something somewhere that said Crawley's origins went "way back" but I couldn't see any sign of it


As for where, hmmm... my guess would be Canterbury.
