I took an out of town visitor for a ride during half term week. Even during this (relatively) busy week, it was still easy to get a car to ourselves. Which just proves how desperately below capacity it is.
It was a bit blowy. I felt much more conscious of the side to side wobbles than I ever have on a similar car in the Alps. Maybe my imagination.
Antipodean. Do not try and plan on long range weather in the UK. The forecast has such a low probability of confidence to be useless for ordinary folk. But what you can be sure of is that Scotland has wonderfully long daylight hours at that time if summer.
Essentially, it is a tourist attraction.

So the numbers always would go on a downward trajectory; once you've been on it once, you're unlikely to do it again.
Cynical: possibly.
Opportunistic: sure... but who wouldn't?
I can't say I've followed every post about the turnover figures, but even they might not be all they seem if my experience (last year) was anything to go by. I would have been quite happy to purchase the tickets I wanted at full price but I was given a discounted rate without even asking. I'm sure I was far from the only one being given a reduction.
I didn't ask why they were doing it - I just said thanks very much :)
Can we move it to the scottish mountains where such a boost to uplift is desperately needed? :/
Did something special happen on the 25th/26th Jan this year? O2 event or something?
During the recent transport strikes, the Air Line was free of charge and I noticed the gates were left open. I don't know whether this would affect the counts?
So the airline wasn't the go-to method of champagne fuelled commuting this Valentines Day?
If you knew those toward the 'tops' of the owning organisations (yes, plural), you'd expect data massaging, selective release and stonewalls of silence. Their classic 'in line with budget expectations' says nothing but sounds awfully cute.
Data for the week ending 1st March (22,422) has appeared almost immediately, on 4th March, which suggests the results for 15th February were delayed by ten days.
I had to pick up a friend at City Airport today and as I arrived early I parked up near the Tate & Lyle works, pretty much under the cablecar flight-path.
FWIW I can report that I watched the pods for about 15 mins starting around 2pm, and I'd say about 60-70% of the pods were occupied, even if only by one or two people.
