IMO in normal circumstances I would imagine that tourists make up biggest percentage of passengers on the Dangleway.(Cost v Experience not problem)
The Dangleway and Tower Bridge are on nearly every tourist's agenda.
I hadn't realised that construction of the mad Silvertown tunnel has actually started. Yet more evidence that "we're all doomed".
Thank you DG,on supplying more reasons not to travel north. We were not aware of the coming toll on the use of the Blackwall tunnel, must have missed that, being in lockdown.
Oh well, born in sarff London, stay in sarff London.
Don't forget HS1! Looks to me like the going rate from Stratford International Not International to Ebbsfleet International is £18.30. Admittedly you have gone a long way past the Thames but you have crossed it.
Meanwhile, crossing at Hammersmith, even on foot, has been impossible since August. A ferry has been promised but there is no sign of it yet. This leaves a three and a half mile gap with no crossing at all, the biggest in London upstream of Woolwich
In normal circumstances, if you are a booked attendee at a conference at the Excel, use of the Dangleway may be free (just show your conference ticket or badge at the ticket booth). The conference organisers will tell you if they have arranged for a free ride

I have used this in the past as a interesting alternative to ground based transport. Not sure it is really any quicker, and it would depend which end of the Excel the event is being hosted (it's a long walk)
I live near the Rotherhithe pier and being a Freedom Pass holder, get to use the ferry for a much more reasonable £2.30 (although still a swizz for a a journey of under a minute) so use it fairly regularly. After the first lock down, one of the crew members told me that it's the hotel that calls the shots which is why it didn't resume operations at the same time as the rest of the Thames Clipper fleet... I'm guessing Hilton sets the fares as well.
Having for fun with two friends crossed the river at each point on public transport west of the Tilbury ferry - we couldn't fit that in in the time we had available, you have forgotten High Speed 1 - where a ticket from St Pancras to Ebbsfleet, with senior railcard when we did this - Dec 2019 was a ridiculous over £11, followed by Arriva Bus to Bluewater and Ensign bus through the Dartford Tunnel - an interesting experience at the front on the top deck!.

I would also argue based on entrance and exit points, that the Woolwich Foot tunnel is marginally east of of the Ferry!

Length or duration of journey has little to do with the cost of its provision. Whether a route offers value for money depends on how much time it would save you if you had to use the best available alternative
No sign of the Trinity Buoy Wharf ferry - £2 for pedestrians (not sure if bikes can even go on it)? (Admittedly not running at present due to COVID-19 restrictions)
