Very useful, thanks for the archive page. Interesting to note that I am just off "Stratford East" map, so of course, no problems' eh? I wonder what the bike parking is going to be like, too? My guess is non-existent. You might be able to make a fortune installing a bike rack outside your front door. Talking of which, I am still thinking of pitching a tent in my garden and renting out, especially after seeing sites like this http://www.rentduringthegames.com/london-2012-olympics/list/11

Maybe the reason transfer times in section 9 are so long is to allow plenty of time to strip search ticket holders to confiscate sandwiches, phones and musical instruments.

If the games ticket includes a One day all zone travel card, this may be good boost for London's other tourist attractions, as visitors could be tempted to get full use of their TravelCard and do some sightseeing, after or before their Olympic visit.
It may also persuade some people to get out of their cars for a change.

London 2012 in my opinion is going to be a transport disaster.
I think the that the transport system is the great Achilles heel of most very large events, this one is no different.
Beijing was an exception, because of the way that the government is able to push thru it's plans with minimal problems.

oooh, is that map an acknowledgement that the Clapham Junction extension of the East London Line won't be open in time? Or have they forgotten about it when making this map?

Also apparently no prospect of any of the proposed extensions to the Travelcard area coming to pass by next summer.

The map does not make it at all clear that Stratford International can only by reached by direct DLR from the Canning Town direction, and that passangers from Poplar and beyond have to change. Surely it's time different DLR routes were shown in different colours?

Finally, the Evening Standard reported yesterday http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23934666-top-hotel-chains-in-crisis-talks-with-2012-olympics-organisers-over-rip-off-re-sale-packages.do that some of the hotel packages offered by Thomas Cook were under investigation for profiteering, as the hotels were not being paid anything like the difference between the face value of the tickets and the price of the package - one £6400 package being a 274% markup on the face value of the components of the package.

Erm, no one.. (DG included?) seems to have picked up on "Pudding Mill Station closed during the games" ... because?? (I kinda know the answer, but i just wondered what people thought about that...)

Games Travelcard valid to Watford Junction though...

In answer to "Ham's" comment "I wonder what the bike parking is going to be like" I was informed at a recent Local residents meeting that the current plan is for a secure cycle park with lockable facilities to be installed within Victoria Park a few minutes from the stadium with room for about ten thousand bikes? as far as Pudding Mill Lane Station is concerned it will be shut during Games time purely because it is so small it would create a pinch point and could not cope with large crowds, so it will be shut for safety reasons, I would also like to point out that the current station will also be closing permantly and will be demolished because it stands right in the way of where crossrail will emerge from underground, a new station is to be built about twenty five yards to the south of its current position, whether the new station will be built before the current one is closed I do not know.

Thanks for all the info.

The map for Bow (22 part details) only includes the lower half of it. Judging by the sign on the Greenway by Wick Lane I don't think they know where Bow is.

According to TfL website, Overground to Clapham Junction is not due to open until late 2012 (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/projectsandschemes/15401.aspx). It's also not mentioned in the LOCOG travel plans (http://www.london2012.com/documents/oda-transport/updated-olympictransportplanpart1-1-6.pdf - see map on p50)so I imagine it's never been envisaged that the link will be completed by the Games.
