I can't look at 'The Kiss' without instantly recalling Monty Python's animated version. Both examples of great art, if at opposing ends ends of the high/low culture scale.
I'm enjoying your day in Paris, you certainly packed in a lot.

Typo: moquette / maquette
Quite a lot of items normally in the Musée Rodin are currently being displayed in the British Museum as part of their Rodin and the art of Ancient Greece exhibition.
The cartoonist Larry did a few cartoons on Rodin's work, such as The Thinker with thought bubbles rising above his showing The Kiss.
Ho ho! So you did go! How on earth did you fit the time in?!
This museum is my favourite of the smaller ones you mention. It's a wonderful place with a delightful ambience.
You can immerse yourself in the Gates of Hell, there's always something going on.
And it's all so much more relaxing than the (famous) Louvre!
Musée Rodin is one of my favourite places in the world. I always pay M. Rodin a visit when en Paris. It has been beautifully restored too. Last time I was there I noticed they'd used Farrow & Ball paint...
This is one of my favorite museums. If you like Rodin, you might check the Rodin museum at Stanford University in California if you happen to get here.

I have a picture of me as a teenager doing the thinker pose in front of The Thinker in the Paris museum.
One of the best sculpture museums I have seen. I also saw a very dusty copy of "Hell's Gate" in Tokyo.
Did you get to the Picasso Museum, I see "Exhibition Guernica" is on?
We saw it in the Reina Sofia then visited the town of Guernica where we saw a very moving simulation of the Germans carpet bombing the town on market day at Franco's invitation..
Sounds much nicer than the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia, where the statues seem rather crammed in.

Poor Camille Claudel. She was rather let down by the old man, and at that time it was rather difficult for a woman to make her way as an independent artist. It ended badly for her.
