I love the Gallions Point website and brochure!
The website refers to Crossrail as if it's open (3 mins to Canary Wharf) and the Emirates Airline and Air Line in the same breath. I don't know which road they're travelling on for City Airport to be 3 miles away.

The online brochure mentions that well-known river crossing - the Blackwell Tunnel and "London Borough Buses" - I've never heard of those.

Their reference to Gallions Reach Shopping Park "enjoy the capital's wealth of unrivalled shopping opportunities" shouldn't mention Decathlon as that shop closed about a year ago. I'd also like to know how to get to Harrods in 52 mins by DLR.

The brochure goes on to say the O2 Arena is 22 minutes by DLR; although elsewhere it mentions the Dangleway as being 5 minutes from the tent.

There are probably a lot more errors but my observations are after a quick browse.
I see Google Maps has renamed the dock as "Gallions Point Marina" with Royal Albert Dock relegated to being a historical landmark.
Is that the word ‘Willkommen’ above the entrance to the vaccination centre (2 hours)? If so, a nice gesture to help out our Teutonic friends; but not surprising the place is empty, as I suspect no one in Germany knows about our generous offer.
ExCeL's electronic signage remains in exhibition mode, hence the sequence of greetings in various foreign languages above the entrance, and a montage of "thank you for attending" videos as you depart.
Have you heard anything about the Electra footpath beside Cody dock ‘re-opening‘? Or it’s destined to remained blocked off by the site owner forever?

Wishing you had a photograph of that flock of seagulls.
I'd never heard of the word henge on its own until it recently stumped me in a crossword. Obviously I'd heard of Stonehenge but I'd never stopped to consider the full meaning!

On the other hand I'm sure you made up the word jabbee.
How lovely to bump into BestMate!
I didn’t get anything other than a Freedom pass sized piece of card confirming the date of my first jab - but I was given the ‘Package leaflet: Information for the recipient.’
so nice to bump into BestMate ... I wonder for how long the stopwatch had to be stopped
I'm always excited to see some Greenway representation on here. I did the walk from Plaistow to the Beckton Alps Interchange so many times as a kid.
I wonder if there are plans to upgrade the Greenway east of the Beckton Alps interchange. Last time I was there it was noticeably un-upgraded, quite a contrast to the rest of the Greenway.
When you saw a flock of seagulls, I hope you hummed 'I Ran'
I sort of learnt to ski at Beckton about 35 years ago. I’ll have to go and google in now.
Today's little Internet rabbit hole was to look into the Sainsbury's fulfilment centre at Cody Dock. I do the same job (online shopping for Sainsbury's), but at the Richmond Superstore - so it's a real shop that get's open to the public. Interesting to read about our crazy sister kept up in the attic and not allowed to meet the public. ;)
Around 2005 when A13 was being expanded the junction under the new flyover was not working well, with queues back past the fire station even mid morning.
The pedestrian sequences were integrated in the junction signals programme, but the pedestrian count was extremely low. Back then it was about 25 across the NE aspect daily.
The southbound left turn was redesigned to a straight through lane and pedestrian facilities converted to "on demand"
It worked well, solved the traffic delays and associated pollution.
Sorry you do not approve of my input in the junction design.
I curse every time I cross the A13 at street level.

(my peeve is with the numerous sliproads where the traffic stops anyway but the pedestrian signals never change)
I agree about that A13 junction and the pedestrian crossings. To get from the Greenway on the northwest side to Woolwich Manor Way on the southeast side can take well over 5 minutes if you wait for a green man at all 5 of the crossings. It seems that if you push the button just after the crossing traffic gets a red light but the traffic parallel to you has just got a green, pedestrians are made to wait until their own phase, even though the crossing traffic is on red and it's a one way slip road - so safe to cross. There's no reason why the pedestrians can't have a green man whilst the parallel traffic gets a green light, since they can't cross paths. Seems like the spite of the signals programmer!
