It's all go isn't it? We've just had a letter from the Strategic Commissioning Directorate, Parking Design Team, Newham Council informing us of changes to our Residential Parking Zone during the Rugby World Cup.

I have always been of the opinion that using Bus Stop A as a changeover point for drivers working on route 25 is and always has been a stupid idea, very often during rush hours there can be as many as three or even four buses lined up along this section of road causing traffic chaos, in my opinion the changeover point should have been located on the wider section of road at about the location of Bus Stop E where two lanes of traffic can pass without having to merge into one lane, but having said that now we are getting a new bike lane there probably will not be a suitable location available.
TFL's Journey Planner dosn't take any notice of closure of bus stops closed for cycle super highay. On Saturday the Journey Planner advised me to get the Overground to Whitechapel, then the 25 bus eastwards to my detination. On arrival at Whitechapel we found the bus stop and the next eastwards one closed. One of us has mobility problems so walking walking half of the way to Stepney Green was a problem.
Monday 20th July
A small corner of pavement at the end of Fairfield Road has been fenced off. A mini digger is housed inside.

Tuesday 21st July
The small corner of pavement has been dug up. A poster on the fence reads
"Cycle Superhighway Route 2 upgrade will improve pedestrian crossings"
Whether it'll be true at this junction depends on your definition of 'improve'.
Having been involved, amongst other things, in 4 bike lane projects before I recently turned my back on TfL and collected my pension, this is by far the worst managed project that I was ever involved in inside and outside TfL, and the timeline will prove to be a total work of fiction. Mark my words. You wait for the disruption to traffic Bow Road they cause, and the knock on affecting Stratford and A12
Bus stop M (Bow Flyover) appears to have been closed permanently from late September, i.e. three months early.

The bus stop pole has been relocated to Bus stop G, which has been temporarily closed for the last month (and remains so).

There are no signs at Bus Stop M to warn passengers that they really shouldn't wait here any more.
