I certainly was amazed at the number of ambassadors everywhere, even if lots of them seemed to be acting as human turn left signs...

Not so amazed that Greg Tingey commented on Jane's blog page though :-)
Thanks for the link to Jane's blog(s)... Brilliant! And I am looking forward to the Paralympics. I do confess it is the first time I shall have taken any interest in them... Looking forward to the athletics on Friday night in the stadium, which I last saw empty over 12 months ago. Yay!
It should be a source of national shame that the Paralympics are sponsored by ATOS, well-known for screwing over disabled people and leaving them living in poverty. It's absolutely disgusting that they could be allowed to sponsor the event when they treat everyday disabled people with nothing but contempt.
I went to Stratford to collect some Paralympic tickets Friday morning. The all-zone Travelcards given with the tickets are worth more than some of the tickets I collected.
I wonder what will be flying in to the stadium from that high wire running from the top of the Orbit.
Lots of people milling around the park with cameras disappointed that they could not get in. It seems that an opportunity has been lost here, as maybe a few double decker buses could have been hired and bus loads of visitors taken on a tour of the park at say a £5 for 30 minutes. No one allowed to get off the bus and so not a great security risk.
I notice Channel 4 and not the BBC have the coverage, if the viewing figures compare to the Olympic, Channel 4 will be on to a winner, and no doubt be able to get some good rates for advertising slots.
"...now have freshly-branded jackets". Not quite new - we get two new shirts and two panels which velcro to the Olympic jackets to hide the Olympic rings. One of my panels seems to have a velcro patch in the wrong place. I've however worn out the socks we were given and my shoes are already showing signs of wear.
I had money on the wire between the Orbit & the stadium being for Prince Phillip's dramatic entrance for the Opening Ceremony, but I guess it'll have to be someone else now. (Get well soon dude!)

Not sure if C4's 3 extra channels are enough. http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/london2012/index.html streamed everything for the Olympics (it was briefly fun watching French & Swedish TV covering the same game). Not sure if they're doing the Paralympics.
I've put in an FoI request to the GLA as I don't understand why London didn't get an evening celebration with its cauldron in the same way all three other UK capital cities are over this weekend. I was planning to drop in as DG did and see the cauldron (and, I'd originally been assuming, celebration) on Friday evening but then found no pics of it on Twitter from anyone all afternoon so figured it wasn't there any more so didn't bother! Very disappointing.

But I shall certainly be catching the torch relay on Wednesday - my wife and I have taken the day off so should be able to catch it as it passes the place we got married, the central London place we hang out at most frequently, and our favourite public space near our home - it's a great route for us! :)
I am glad to see Channel 4 being the host for the Paralympics. It is the sort of thing it used to do before the days of Big Brother. Also I hope Boris is not going to be on the wire from the Orbit!
