Really enjoying Round Tower, thanks. That last photo I imagine will be used quite a bit.
Ah ha! I did that section of this walk in the other direction on that day - the Woolwich ferry excursion being the tell tale date identifier. I'd have waved if I'd known.
Anyway - enjoying the write up - as ever.
There's also another restaurant just off Narrow Street - La Figa - which another local, Steven Berkoff, once named as one of his favourite eating places.
"after a handful of irritable neighbours complained about the noise"

Allegedly moved due to this. Had all of two complaints in the last four years of operation and this related to an alarm going off and a private refuse vehicle.

Got a lot of dosh when she sold it though.
Loved the photo of the Ferry about to go "under" Tower Bridge.

Did you know about this in advance?

It's remarkable, in hindsight, to see how prophetic The Long Good Friday actually was!
Great series DG - really enjoying these. You can't really go wrong with the Thames, can you? Apropos of nothing - I recall being told once that David Lean lived in Pier Head Square
Having mentioned Wapping Hydraulic Power Station (Grade II* listed) , why leave out the Prospect of Whitby opposite (between the street, Wapping Wall, and the river).
Just to let you know, as you seem to be halfway, I am enjoying your walk along Tower Hamlets border.
I often visit docklands area for events and thanks to you I now know of some additional spots to explore.
I hope the Riverside South towers, mentioned in part 4 of your walk, get built.
If the Woolwich ferry (or one of them) was on a jolly up to tower Bridge, does that mean crossing the river was even harder than usual that day?
@timbo As they're got three boats, I wouldn't think so.
