Mortorio: with slight spelling change, it would fit nicely into the Gilbert and Sullivan song about the Duke of Moratoro.
I can find no reference to a Gilbert and Sullivan song about the Duke of Moratoro.
The absence of Lambeth and Southwark means that my initial assumption about the Bromley/Croydon interaction being at Crystal Palace was probably incorrect (or a missed opportunity for a repeat four boroughs visit). Maybe you were nearer Shirley/Bedlam/West Wickham/Elmers End instead.
DavidC - Exactly my thoughts!
And a ping for Bedlam!
"two diners on the Gregg's sun terrace"
hahahaha!!
I find it notable the six boroughs have more details devoted to them than the others from yesterday.

How have I never heard of the TfL book club, what would they even read there? Tube schedules? Or was it a regular book club with TfL branding?
When I had a minor role in The Gondoliers, the Duke of Plaza Toro was played by one of the French specialists who had an impressive bass singinging voice.
The Tfl book club was not a great success with between 17 and 50 subscribers paying £4.99 a month for this branded ebook service, so it stopped after a year. See here and here.
According to the detailed Gallows Corner travel advice, it seems that the 375 truncation is still due to happenin, but not until August. Specifically, “From 2 August, route 375 will terminate at Chase Cross instead of Romford. After this time, use route 175 at Chase Cross for journeys on to Romford”. I do not recall seeing that text before, so maybe TfL changed their mind?
The McLaren car you saw may be orange but many are a tone known as ‘Papaya orange’ aka ‘McLaren orange’ the traditional colour of the company’s cars chosen originally for its visual impact and uniqueness of the tone by Bruce McLaren the team’s founder.
