Did DG spot any of the 10 rare species that have been found at the Olympic Park?

I don't think slugs count.
Sprinklers, maybe?
Last month I was talking some pictures up by the Olympic rings and ended up looking quite green - it appears they've been dyeing the grass in some places to make sure it stays suitably picturesque.
1. That's a very impressively and comprehensively unpainted boat
2. 'Curating our Members' Nothing to be said really.
3. Those are massive slugs. I know slugs can't help being slugs, but ugh.
Sarah that rusty boat is sporting the Cor-Ten look as is the bridge, sports centre on Hackney Marsh, Angel of the North and an increasing number of new-build apartments.
The look is also to be seen on the bonnets of BMWs where aggrieved ex-partners have doused them with acid.
I would be embarrassed to raise that flag, given how tatty it is.
DG, do you have a car? I have always assumed otherwise.
You can tell a lot about a drive-in cinema, even watch the film, from the other side of the fence.
I thought drive-ins were invented to give American teens a bit of privacy to make out in!
I can think of nothing worse than taking a minivan full of kids bickering in the back that they can't see etc!
I think they've just moved the green flag (or got a second one) - it used to be on a pole at the end of the Aquatics Centre Bridge.
Its full of slugs because a lot of snails have been unable to pay the rent on their shells.
Can confirm that BTTF was on late night telly the other night - because I decided against watching it for something off iPlayer instead. I cannot recall if said channel was ITV2 or Channel 5.

Are portaloos provided for these drive ins I wonder - I should hope so but I wouldn't take it for granted.
The Drive-In Cinema:
If you look on GOOGLE Earth and go back to June 2012, you'll see that this area was one of the vehicle entrances to the Olympic Park. I drove one of the BMWs through there quite a few times.

The markings on the ground are still clearly visible in the most recent views (better on the one dated June 2019). They must have used some very good paint!
Has anyone from Tower Hamlets council, TfL, the Olympic Park or the company fitting the bridge bothered to put diversion signs up yet to the replacement foot and cycle bridge further south? I found the lack of signage on my last visit a sad reflection of the Olympic Park's obsession with the motor car, rubber stamped by the mayor. Footpaths, cycle lanes, dedicated bridges all swept away because nothing says healthy legacy like a stream of cars racing through a park.
Rather busier at tonight's drive-in performance, but still nowhere near full.
Just leaving this here as there are some great aerial shots of London from 2006 matched with up-to-date photos (one is over the Olympic Park)
