I originally thought it was the Battersea Power Station lift and Control Room A, which is normally closed to the public. But the photo shows a bit of a pitched roof, which doesn’t really fit. So I’m stumped.

My thoughts:
1. "doing" rather than "seeing" the extra special thing suggests an element of interactivity;
2. a strong suggestion that the special thing is significantly more widely available;
3. "if the extra special thing had carried on much longer it would never have happened again" implies a destructive, or potentially destructive, element.
