I do enjoy places with a no photography policy. They should introduce it at the British museum
So he was a Rich Diamond Geezer then.
In the early 1950s I played in a boys football team which use to have their matches on Blackheath. The changing rooms were in the Rangers House basement. The goal posts had to be collected from there on the payment of a deposit and taken to the pitch.
IMHO it's far too easy to miss exactly because of its proximity to the Greenwich village complex.

My copy of Greenwich guide map does include it, but it wasn't open during my visit (it said "re-opens in July).

Besides, when I got (remotely) near it, I had just got out of the Observatory at close of business (which means the House would have closed its doors even if it's not under renovation)
Weirdly, wasn't it owned by the LCC, then the GLC, then it (and some other places?) were given to English Heritage when the GLC was Thatchered?
