Good viewing your completed set as a slide show.

thank you for the efforts to date... the series of changing photos is fantastic... it is a shame it had to come to an end...

How about taking a tall stepladder along, climbing up and taking photos over the top of the fence? Or are you afraid of heights?

Once the electrified wires are added to the top of the fence, it'll be at least four metres tall. I doubt I could lug a stepladder that big that far.

A long pole and a remote control? That wouldn't arouse any suspicion would it?

Shame.

How about levering the bars apart while the bloke's back is turned to make a lens shaped hole? Do you want any volunteers to distract the guard while you perform the dastardly deed?

Awwww. What a shame. Still like you said, you got the photos during the most interesting phase of development. And that is a huge legacy.

I'm glad they're not going to remove the top tier afterwards though. It would have been like removing the Wembley Arch after the initial excitement had faded! The top tier is what makes it stand out as being different from just any other stadium.

I took some of my family up onto The Greenway earlier in the week and was equally as horrified as you to discover what had been done in the name of security, shame on them.

DG, it's been a fascinating series - cheers for being so dilligent with it! What a shame that it's come to such a paranoia-driven end, though I guess seeing McDonalds fitting out their restaurant will be less interesting than what has come to pass so far...

You've done some good work with your photographic timeline of the development of the 2012 Olympic site. Shame you can't now practically complete it though.

I'm sure that an olympic official reading could fix you a pass...

I don't believe there isn't one around.

Notwithstanding the fact I especially liked the yellow dot information (and have something to aim for now) I have also liked the photographic progress you've provided us.

Will there be another photographic project?

Why not send an email request to the ODA public relations people? Im sure they'd be pretty amenable to keeping your series going if all it took was a visit once a month.

How about a DG fan club trip? 5 of us could form a pyramid and hoist DG to the top . . .

I use a telescopic window cleaning pole to take photos which would otherwise be obstructed by low level clutter, like signs. I'm sure this would work over a fence and in this case it would not be an intrusion into privacy as the fence is see-through. I am not sure security would approve, but it's not a tripod so it's not a construction of any sort and it's hand held. I use the self-timer to trigger the shutter and the camera is held onto the pole using the equivalent of one of those cheap mini tripods duck taped to the end.
You wouldn't want to use it in a crowded area because of the danger of tapping someone on the head with a digital camera.

What about buying yourself a yellow hi-vis jacket and blending in with all the other pointless jobsworth's around the site? Suddenly, you'll be invisible. Keep up the good work DG,
