Morrisons is the latest company to cut sick pay for unvaccinated workers forced to isolate after being exposed to Covid.
According to an FOI request, 17,371 died from Covid alone (i.e. no pre-existing conditions) in England & Wales during 2020 and first 3 quarters of 2021, of which 13,597 were 65 or over, or so it says in the smallprint underneath a YouTube video I watched.

The 17,371 number is just the number of deaths of people without underlying conditions…
Glad to see the ineffective passes scrapped. Reprehensible scheme.

I always knew we were going to have to learn to live with the virus but ending Plan B when infections etc are worse than when it was implemented sounds to me like they've just given up.
Or needed a distraction!

I realise it hasn't happened yet but an end to self-isolation in 2 months time was announced this week. Given we'd barely heard of Omicron 2 months ago, this seems somewhat optimistic, but hey:
"The current regulations around self-isolation expire on 24 March. Mr Johnson said he expected not to renew them then - and suggested that date could be brought forward if the data allows."
