What's the "cablecar"?

Those “no contactless or Oyster card to ✈️ ” signs also plaster Liverpool St. They’ll have a tough time peeling them all off.

Northumberland park station on the Northumberland line is in North Tyneside / Tyne and Wear not Northumberland.

Interesting about the free bus routes being extended, but I've still heard no word about the fate of the Silvertown cycle shuttle bus, which TfL promised would be free for at least the first year. As one of the probably few regular users of the service, I eagerly await news.

facture /ˈfaktʃə/ or /fakˈtjʊə/ - noun - the quality of the execution of a painting; an artist's characteristic handling of the paint.
I hope they meant facts or factors not fractures. |

From press release:
"The cycle shuttle service... will also remain free for the foreseeable future, enabling cyclists to make the most of the new journey opportunities this service offers." |

.... and the "cable car suspended" joke
As for the tube fares, since the NR rates prevalent south of the river have not changed, this marks a small "levelling up", after many years of the markup for having to use a TOC having grown year on year. South of the river, the off-peak fare from any station in Zone 6 to any Zone 1 Tube station is now "only" 75% more expensive than for a tube-only journey, instead of 84%. In the peaks the markup has dropped less, from 79% to 76%. And it's not as if the services are 75% better - many zone 6 stations in south London only get 2 trains an hour. Even the Hainault shuttle gets three. |

Quite a few National Rail fares actually will rise, for journeys priced at the Tube fare scale.
For example: * Amersham/West Ruislip-Marylebone * Finsbury Park/West Hampstead Thameslink-London Termini * Stratford/Tottenham Hale-Liverpool St * Cheshunt-Stratford * Upminster/Rainham-Fenchurch St * West Ealing-Greenford * Queens Road Peckham-Peckham Rye-Denmark Hill * New Cross Gate-Crystal Palace/Norwood Junction * Harrow & Wealdstone-Clapham Junction/Euston I suspect the c2c, Chiltern and Greater Anglia examples above will come as the biggest unwelcome surprise, as most won't understand why TfL increases would affect them. Especially for Rainham which doesn't even have TfL rail services. The Overground and Elizabeth line are also definitely rail services - are fares will sadly also be rising there. |

Northumberland park station is in Tyne and Wear, not Northumberland.
Also the 26th of May is not a Sunday. The nearest Sunday is the 24th. dg writes: sorry, Tuesday |

There were public toilets at Morden Stn, up until 1990. They were closed and converted into the Station Control Room. Bus drivers could still use the Underground crew facilities in Apollo House ground floor. This changed in 1998 when the new train crew facilities in the Kenley Road car park opened in 98/99, when Siemans took over Morden Depot as part of the 95 stock PFI deal.
Bus drivers then had to use the KFC toilet. Unite and LBM have pressing TFL about this for over 20 years. Good to see TFL and LUL finally come good. |

There's been some really odd phrasing around Northumberland Park (Northumberland line) station and not just here. That it was a station opening, and that there's now 2 Northumberland Park stations ignore the Metro station - either it was a station opening and there's now 3 Northumberland Park stations (2 NR), or it was merely a platform opening and there's still 2 Northumberland Park stations (but now both are on the NR network).
Given that the new NR station's platform is Platform 1, when there's already a Platform 1 at the Metro station suggests that there are 3 Northumberland Park stations, two of which are right next to each other. |

Just been checking how late the DLR trains are:
2019: "DLR customers will benefit from new walk-through trains from 2022." 2021: "DLR customers will benefit from more frequent and reliable journeys from 2023." 2023: "We'll start introducing the new trains in 2024, with the whole fleet in place by 2026." |
